In case there was any doubt…
Posted by: | CommentsJust in case you wondered, but we are Vikings fans in the GeekDaddy household!
Not quite what I expected…
Posted by: | CommentsWell today's Vikings game was not what I had hoped for. While I will agree the dream (or fantasy if you asked Holly) of winning out and gaining the #2 seed was a bit out there, the overall performance was less than spectacular. With the loss the magic number still remains one – one win by MN or one loss by CHI. As hard as it is for me to say it, but I will be cheering for Green Bay tomorrow night when they play Chicago. Go Pack!
Ughhh… I think I'm going to be sick from just saying it.
Go Vikes…
Posted by: | CommentsA win is a win, even if it’s an ugly win. Let’s see how things go next week.
Comedy of errors…
Posted by: | CommentsI have to honestly say it was a beautiful day outside today. Today was one of those fall days you appreciate as winter gets closer and closer. And the reason I know it was such a lovely day is that I stopped watching my beloved Vikings early in the 3rd quarter. After flubbing a return that resulted in a touchdown and then 30 seconds later an interception by Chicago was just too much.
So instead of rolling over on the couch and falling asleep (which I almost did), Sam and I went outside to play. And from the highlights and game summaries I've heard so far, I should have gone outside at the half and enjoyed that afternoon that much sooner.
Next week is a Bye week, so I'm guessing they can't screw that up. Can they?
Biggest game of the season…
Posted by: | Commentsand I’m in Lake Norden, South Dakota. Actually I’m sitting in the lounge of the Ramkota Inn in Watertown. I’ve got a wifi signal, a beer and my work laptop, so I can "catch up on things from the office" while I watch the game. Go Vikes!
A REALLY dedicated fan…

I went to training camp over the weekend and found what has to be one of the most dedicated Vikings fans in MN. I’m pretty sure Holly won’t let me "redecorate" her truck to show our team pride.
Is there a trade coming…
Posted by: | CommentsThe juiciest note that I’ve had today is a post from Kevin Siefert (formally a writer with the Star-Tribune):
GREEN BAY, Wis. — There is quite a scene here at the Green Bay Packers’ practice.
A huge crowd is on hand, having shown up thinking Brett Favre would be on the field. However, Favre has left Lambeau Field to continue meeting with team officials.
Fans are chanting, "We want Brett! We want Brett!"
One fan yelled to coach Mike McCarthy, "You’ve got nowhere to hide!"
Favre and general manager Ted Thompson are meeting now at Favre’s home. Favre told ESPN’s Rachel Nichols that the sides were discussing trade possibilities.
Stay tuned.

Using tech to keep up on your team…
Posted by: | CommentsWith football season just around the corner it’s easy to lose a new nugget of information that you can use to one up your uppity office mate. One of the great things about being the GeekDaddy is using some tricks
of the trade to keep me up to date on my favorite teams – Minnesota
Vikings! The biggest trick is to use an RSS reader (like Google Reader) on most of the popular sites – ESPN, CNNSI, FoxSports, etc. to get updates. This little wonder app essentially monitors several websites and tells me when an updated post occurs. The beauty of the app is that I see the same information at work, at home, and on my iPhone.
This way I’ll be the first to know the outcome of the Green Bay soap opera drama.
