Quote of the day…
Posted by: | CommentsQOTD: “Here Dad, let me show you how that works.” Evan says this as he grabs MY iPhone out my hands.
Evan was trying explaining to me how one of his iPhone games work. Apparently I was a little too slow on the uptake to figure out how an iPhone works.
Whose iPhone is it…
Posted by: | CommentsHolly got her iPhone from Evan and to set it down to go brush the kids’ teeth.
Holly: Evan, I need my iPhone so we can go brush teeth.
Evan: Why?
Holly: Because it’s my iPhone.
Evan: No, it’s my iPhone.
And then the debate began on whose iPhone it really was. Evan was so convinced that it’s his iPhone he was arguing all the way to the bathroom. The rest of us thought it was kinda funny that he was so certain that he had ownership rights to Holly’s phone.
Maybe I can convince to help pay the bill to?
Birthday wish…
Posted by: | CommentsEvan, with all the sincerity he could muster, came up to his Mom this evening and asked, ‘Can I please have an iPhone with games for my birthday’.
And so it begins.
New hobby…
Posted by: | CommentsSam has found a new way to entertain himself. When he gets a chance to get on Holly’s iPhone, he will set the timer to go off at some random future time. Holly has been caught more than once with her phone beeping at her no apparent reason.
Wait until he’s 16 and Holly does that to his alarm clock.
A little spice for iPhone users…
Posted by: | CommentsJust a heads up, but for those who take a look, or get updates, of the blog from an iPhone or Blackberry. Now you get a mobile version of the blog that loads quicker and has a better mobile viewing experience. You can see the regular site by turning off the mobile view at the bottom of the page.
Email me if you have problems.
It’s sad, but kind of true…
Posted by: | CommentsiPhone data tether…
Posted by: | CommentsThe entire earth wobbled just a little bit when millions of iPhone owners jumped up and down when they found out that they can now tether their iPhone to their laptop for a data connection. This practice allows a user to have an Internet connection through their iPhone. This was one of the last ‘it would nice to have’ features on the iPhone.
Just in time to play with over the weekend!
New driving law…
Posted by: | CommentsJust a quick note to all drivers going through the great state of Minnesota: Don’t text and drive, it could turn out to be an expensive message. Starting today (8/1), law enforcement can pull you over for texting while driving and issue you a ticket for $300.
BTW: I heard this on the radio while driving into work and waited until I got out of the car to send this post. Can’t say that’s how every post has been done, but it will from now on.
Best new iPhone app…
Posted by: | Comments
The best app that I’ve found to date on the new iPhone is the AOL Radio application. Think of this as XM satellite radio on your iPhone. There’s almost 30 different genres to pick from with 10-40 stations per group. Now the hook that Apple and AOL has with this app is the ability to go from listening to the song to purchasing the song in a single button click. Maybe it’s time to look into those spending limit protections iTunes has.
It’s 2am and I’m still drooling…

I’ve finally got back from the lake cruise and chaperon duties for a post celebration. While on the outing, it was discovered that Apple had unofficially released the iPhone software update for original iPhone owners. I have now spent the last 1-1/2 playing with the new software and I LOVE IT! Thankfully the boss gave us a little reprieve by allowing everyone to come in around 9am. I’ll post more tomorrow after being able to play with the update for a while.
