Fireworks pictures…
Posted by: | CommentsI finally got to take the kind of fireworks pictures I’ve wanted to take since I was 10 years olds. I posted the best ones on Flickr [Link]. My favorite from the night is this one.
Should have been on the Op-Ed page…
Posted by: | CommentsScott Adams hit it out of the park with this one.
Getting ready for the big game…

How I spent my Memorial Day weekend…
Posted by: | CommentsSometimes you want to be able to brag to your coworkers about the cool things you did over your summer holiday weekend. Here’s what I did last weekend.
And I can honestly say I feel I topped every story I’ve heard so far with this. The boys loved the addition (at least for the first day or two) and the neighbor kids are playing over here a little more often. Which is part of the reason we did it. If all the neighbor kids are here, that means I don’t need to worry as much about where Sam or Evan may have wandered off to.
That’s a win-win in my book!
A day at the Como Park…
Posted by: | CommentsIt was TPT Day on Sunday at the Como Park, so we took the kids up to see some of their favorite characters. Sam and Evan had a blast. Holly got to see the inside of every public bathroom trying to get Evan to pee. And I got a beautiful sunburn on only part of my head. Must have looked great this morning in the office, judging by all the questions and comments I got.
Cat in the Hat.
Curious George
High fiving the monkey.
And the favorite… Clifford.
It was really a fun afternoon. The weather turned out to be perfect after the rain stopped from earlier in the day. The boys were getting a little hot and tired when we left, but they both asked when could they go back.
Pay attention…
Posted by: | CommentsLiterally 15 sec before I took the picture, Sam pointed to Evan and said to look forward and pay attention because he had to drive.
We found Mater…
Posted by: | CommentsThis was a truck we found on Saturday on our drive back from Marshall. We all thought it looked like a real life Mater.
Meet Sam’s next Christmas present…
Posted by: | CommentsMeet Sam's new pets. In addition to all the wonderful things he'll get from his family this year, Sam will also get two frogs and a snail. Sam is such a lucky little boy to be getting a chance for a wonderful learning experience from his parents. Now if you sense a little sarcasm in my voice it's not because of what we're getting him, but where we have to keep Sam's present and who has to feed his two frogs and a snail until Christmas. Any guesses?
That would be correct, I have two frogs and a snail as temporary pets in my office at work. We got them over the weekend when we went shopping while Sam and Evan were at Jennifer's. The kicker to all this excitement is that in the span of 5 hours of anyone else in my office even knowing of their existence, I've had a 3 different tour groups come visit the amphibian exhibit. On the plus side, I have had a chance to chit chat with more co-workers than usual on a Monday morning.
Just in case you're wondering, you too get this exciting gift at any Brookstone store near you.
