Hi ho, hi ho…
Posted by: | CommentsSam and Evan on their way to explore a “cave” near Lake Okoboji. They got to wear miner caps to help them collect rocks and fossils. As cheesy as the setup was, the kids had an absolute blast.
The budding fisherman…

Sam is turning out to be the budding fisherman. He said he’d rather sit on the end of the dock fishing than go swimming.
And as hot as it is today, that’s saying a lot.
Snack time…
Posted by: | CommentsI was wrapping up a few things before we took off to Lakeville to see my parents. Evan had just finished a snack and Sam asked for one too.
Sam: Can I have some fruity snacks too?
Me: Sure. You know where they are.
Sam: Thanks.
A few minutes go by.
Sam: (mumbling) I put them all in my mouth so we can go see Grandma and Papa right now.
That’s my boy. I think. Maybe that’s more from Holly’s side.
Looking for suggestions…
Posted by: | CommentsAny ideas on how to break the dinner time and bathroom cycles from over lapping?
I wish I had my camera…
Posted by: | CommentsThe weather was so nice tonight that I had the windows open. This meant I could hear birds, the crickets, and the police cars zooming by on the street behind us. And it was more than one!
I went outside to see what was going on and then saw two police cars go down the top of our street. Then I saw one more on the street behind us. Ten seconds later I see all three coming right in front of our house as they are chasing a guy on a four wheeler. Lights a blazing and sirens on full volume.
They all turned the corner and headed back towards Monks Ave and into the adjacent neighborhood. I could hear tires squealing and a couple bangs like cars hitting cars. The sounds continued to move away from our neighborhood.
I really wish I had my camera.
Happy Birthday Jennifer!
Posted by: | CommentsSending out birthday wishes to my little sis all the way from Idaho. Hope you have a great birthday!
Too darn smart…
Posted by: | CommentsHolly had to check on a small skirmish between the boys and asked what was going on:
Holly: Evan, did you bite your brother?
Evan: No… I scratched him with my teeth.
This has got future ulcer written all over it.
