Parenting dilemma…

By

Kids pick up the darnedest things at daycare. For Evan, it’s currently the phrase ‘I don’t like [insert topic]‘. So when he gets grouchy he’ll say ‘I don’t like you’ – and he’ll say it with conviction.

Well tonight he kept saying it to me and I didn’t appreciate it. So I tried to correct him and he’d say it again. I finally broke down and said, ‘Evan, I don’t like it when you say I don’t like it!’.

Evan gives me a puzzled look and ran to his mother. See my dilemma?
