Trying to curb bad habits…
Posted by: | CommentsHolly normally has Tuesday’s off, so Evan stays home with her those days. This week Sam stayed home too because of spring break from school. So while Holly was reading to the boys, she noticed Evan was fidgeting a bit. She looked down to realize he had been picking his nose because he was now staring at the proof of his success.
Holly asked, ‘Evan, do you need a kleenex?’
Evan took a look at his finger and then looked up at Holly. Then in one fluid motion wiped his finger off on Sam’s bedspread and said in the most deadpan tone possible for a 3y old, ‘Nope’.
He didn’t even bat an eye when he did it.

Big day for Sam…
Posted by: | CommentsWell Sam got his birthday wish. He was able to go to Target tonight and get his very first video game. More importantly, the checkout clerk didn’t call security when we started hauling out $18 in quarters, nickels and dimes to help pay for it. Holly and I are pretty sure we have found the carrot to motivate Sam as he gets older.
Now Evan… we’re still working on that.
