Essential travel provisions…
Posted by: | CommentsFor some reason Dt Mtn Dew disappears once you go west of the Rockies.
Early birthday present for Sam…
Posted by: | CommentsWe decided this year that Sam has enough toys and that his extended family will more than likely fill the gap. Holly met the local artist that did the painting and he did a fantastic job. We couldn’t keep Sam out the room for more than 20 minutes at a time because he wanted to see how things were progressing.
It will be an awful shame when we have to repaint his walls when he gets older.
Weather update…
Posted by: | CommentsNational weather service update: 15″ of snow as of 5:20pm.
Yippee for us! NOT!!!
Timely talks with Sam…
Posted by: | CommentsToday’s snowstorm brought out one of the more ‘entertaining’ discussions between Sam and I. As I drove him to Sunday school, he kept complaining he couldn’t see out the front window. You know that little triangle area that never gets clean. I said as long as I can it’s ok. He said he needed to see too. I said it was really important for me to see because I was driving.
This went on for 8 straight minutes.
Expanding my photography…
Posted by: | CommentsContinuing to work on expanding my photography. Still struggling with the self promotion part of getting my work noticed. Feels weird at times to stand and scream, ‘Hey look at me’.
The tougher questions of life…
Posted by: | CommentsWhen watching Big Bang Theory with a 5y old, there’s always those awkward moments you try to gloss over. Like answering the question, ‘What did he mean when he said “doing a dance without my pants?”‘.
Yeah, that one was a toughie.
New project time…
Posted by: | CommentsSpring is approaching and that can only mean one thing… Holly is itching for a new project. Well she has one in mind and it’s all she’s been talking about lately. This one involves remodeling the mud room. We’ve never liked the big work sink in the mud room and have always said that we’d remove it someday. Apparently Holly wants ‘someday’ to be someday soon.
So for the past couple of days she’s commented about the size of cabinets, placement of cabinets, moving outlets, etc. Now I agreed that we wanted to do this too, so as she asked for feedback on what I thought I would give some of my own ideas. Well vindication occurred this afternoon. As we were discussing ideas and options she turned around and said, ‘What if we had two cabinets on each side of the washer and dryer?’ Why is that comment so important? Because ‘someone’ had absolutely thought it was terrible when the other brought it up before.
Seems I’m not so far off my rocker after all.
Looking back on fall pics…
Posted by: | CommentsThe snow and the cold have slowed down my picture taking adventures, so I’m starting to go back and look at other pictures I’ve taken. Some are getting discarded, while others are finally getting the editing they’ve deserved.
This is Evan looking at the water falls at Minneopa State Park.
