Nightly ‘Why’ question…

Every night when it’s my turn to read to Sam, he gets to ask one question about how something works or how it was made. Tonight’s question was, ‘How do they make my big Buzz Lightyear?’

This seemed easy enough until I realized that Sam got his Buzz from Santa. So I go through my entire answer and add at the end, ‘So that’s how they make regular Buzz’s. I’m not sure how Santa makes his Buzz’s.’

Sam sat there for a minute, digesting the new information as he usually does, and then added, ‘Well of course that’s how they make a regular Buzz. You can’t know how Santa makes his toys because it’s a secret.’ I replied back, ‘Yes Sam, yes it is a secret.’ Then I got the biggest hug since Christmas morning.

Thanks Santa for starting 2011 the best way possible.
