It was bound to happen…
Posted by: | CommentsAfter three weeks of working in the yard, adding on to the playset and just all around work, what happens? I hurt myself literally in the last 10 minutes of all my projects. A timber rolled over and crushed my big toe’s toenail. Go figure.
I think Holly prays every that Sam does not grow up as accident prone as me.
A quick note to my Dad…
Posted by: | CommentsAfter several incidents this morning involving Sam and myself, I offer my sincerest apology to my Dad for all the stupid shit I’ve done over the years. And hope that you feel better knowing there’s quite a bit of the accident prone mischief gene has been carried on to a new generation of Verly’s.
Actually, Dad should feel better knowing his curse may have worked out… having a son just like me.
Forgot about this one…
Posted by: | CommentsEvan wanted to wear the swim goggles after his bath a little while back.
Dad’s little helper…
Posted by: | CommentsEvan wanted to make sure he helped with the construction of the new add-on to the swingset. So when I had to bring some more wood to the back yard, he was right there helping too.
Maybe next year…
Posted by: | CommentsEvan was about as excited to go to T-ball practice as Sam was last night. During the entire practice, Evan was on the side saying – “Let’s play baseball” or “I’m the catcher”. He had his glove and baseball with just in case he was called up during the game.
First T-Ball Practice…
Posted by: | CommentsSam had his first T-ball practice tonight and he rocked it! Sam listened to his coach, he ran the bases, chased after the ball and fought to get it first. Most importantly, he had a great time.
I’m guessing there will be a few nights a week now where I’ll be asked to play catch. Not a bad way to spend a summer evening.

A day at the Como Park…
Posted by: | CommentsIt was TPT Day on Sunday at the Como Park, so we took the kids up to see some of their favorite characters. Sam and Evan had a blast. Holly got to see the inside of every public bathroom trying to get Evan to pee. And I got a beautiful sunburn on only part of my head. Must have looked great this morning in the office, judging by all the questions and comments I got.
Cat in the Hat.
Curious George
High fiving the monkey.
And the favorite… Clifford.
It was really a fun afternoon. The weather turned out to be perfect after the rain stopped from earlier in the day. The boys were getting a little hot and tired when we left, but they both asked when could they go back.
Pay attention…
Posted by: | CommentsLiterally 15 sec before I took the picture, Sam pointed to Evan and said to look forward and pay attention because he had to drive.
