Quick on the draw…
Posted by: | CommentsWe’ve been trying to get Evan to be a little more adventurous with his food selections. So last night when we were having cheeseburgers (and really, who doesn’t love a good cheeseburger), Evan didn’t want to try it at all. So as dinner was wrapping up, I pulled a small piece of burger off and asked if he wanted to eat it. Evan said no and covered his mouth. I went away for a bit and came back again with the small piece of burger. He again said no and started to cover his mouth. This time I tried to put the piece in his mouth. He got so anxious about the possibility of having to try some of the burger that in one fluid motion he grabbed a grape, threw it in his mouth, and then proceeded to look at me with glowing pride. He knew he had beaten me by putting something in his mouth.
To top it all off, he then sat there and smiled at me – gloating. At least he’s eating asparagus.
Belated thanks…
Posted by: | CommentsI wanted say thanks again to Mom & Dad and John & Shirley for the birthday gifts. With all my Best Buy points and your gifts, I’ve been able to get my NCIS DVD fix satisfied. My laptop will now be busy converting over episodes for the Apple TV.
Was SO tempted to take MY Lego…
Posted by: | CommentsWas SO tempted to take MY Lego’s when I stopped by Mom and Dad’s today. Maybe they’re still there, maybe not.
How baseball should be enjoyed…
Posted by: | CommentsWe found Mater…
Posted by: | CommentsThis was a truck we found on Saturday on our drive back from Marshall. We all thought it looked like a real life Mater.
Going green… for all the wrong reasons
Posted by: | CommentsSam and Evan got to spend Saturday afternoon with me in Marshall. As part of the trip we got to out to Pat and Barbie’s place and see some farm animals up close. To top it off… they got a tractor ride with Ed while he was planting corn.
And before anyone says anything about the color of the tractor, Ed and Pat did not consult with me before making that purchase. So it’s not my fault.
This will be worth money someday…
Posted by: | Comments…mostly from extorting Evan so I guarantee that his prom date won’t ever see this picture.
And the deck is open for business…
Posted by: | CommentsIt was such a beautiful evening after we got back from MOA, we decided it was time to open the deck. Had the first dinner on the deck for 2010 and you couldn’t ask for a more gorgeous evening.
A day out at the mall…
Posted by: | CommentsWell I have another first in my list of tech wonders… blog posts from the road. I got a new wireless card that gives me mobile wifi wherever i go. Holly’s certain that this is more dangerous than if I had a motorcycle. We’ll just have to agree to disagree on this one.
The whole family spent the afternoon at the Mall of America and I’m writing this quick update from my iPad while Holly is driving back home. I had an iPad and me class (think baby and me for iPad owners) at the Apple store and Holly took the boys to the aquarium. We all met up after the class and went for a couple of rides in the amusement park area. The boys are wiped and Evan fell asleep before we could get out of the parking garage.
Next up, yard work.
Now this is comfy…
Posted by: | CommentsEvan wanted to get REALLY comfy on the ride home from the Cities last week.
