We’re entering a whole new era with Evan and his mobility. He just climbed up on a bar stool by himself. Yikes!

Still alive…

Posted by: admin | Comments (0)

Just a quick note to say that, yes, we’re still alive. The weather today was warm enough for everyone to play outside. I’m wrapping up bath time with the boys.

Look for more updates after I wrap up a big project at work.

Sledding adventures, Part II…

Posted by: admin | Comments (0)

I took Sam sledding again today – as noted in the previous tweet post. A couple of highlights from today are:

1. Sam got to experience his first crowded hill today. Twice he got nearly knocked off his feet by someone else and only once did he get nicked to cause him to lose his balance.

2. Sam only got run over once at the end of a sledding run, but did get to do a face plant when his tube tipped over in some deeper snow. He face planted so hard that snow was lodges all the way around his head, under his hat. Imagine a 4 year old boy as an ostrich in the snow. (Sorry no picture).

3. I forgot how much punishment I must have given my body when I sledding at my peak. I saw kids doing jumps on the stomachs and then flipping or rolling off their sleds as they landed. Not sure if it was funnier watching the kids doing the jumps or the reactions from various moms that were watching their kids as they landed.

Nice to have a ‘normal’ winter day and get out in the sun.

Having a 15 minute conversation with Sam regarding what could be stained with orange pop. You can’t imagine the surfaces he’s come up with.
