I’ve officially become my parents…

It's been a nice morning and as we approached lunch Holly and I wanted to run an errand and then go out to lunch.  As we feared, Evan fell asleep 10 minutes out from the restaurant and Sam started to get grumpy too.  So we headed back and decided it was nap time for everyone. 

We made Sam lunch and 'hoped' he would take a small nap while Evan was down.  Sam finished lunch and said he wanted some juice.  No big deal, so I got him some juice and went back in the kitchen.  A few minutes later he said he was done and wanted some more.  I said no, because he had had enough juice already.  Sam sat there a few minutes trying to think of a way to get some more juice.  So he asked nicely and I nicely said no.  He asked why and I said the famous words, "Because I said so." 

He sat there a few more minutes and said, "But Daddy, you know you have to have a reason to say no."
