Next to go…
Posted by: | CommentsWell after I got we got the kids to bed, it was time to start working on more packing. This time it was tearing down most of my secondary computer equipment. As I packed up my desk, I realized I may have gone overboard in my iPod love affair. At current count (and I REALLY hope Holly doesn’t see this for a while) I have the following iPods in my possession:
(2) 2nd Gen 20GB iPods
(1) 4th Gen 60GB iPod
(1) 5th Gen 80GB iPod
(1) 3rd Gen 1GB iPod Nano
(1) 8GB iPhone
I’m guessing I need to take a look in the nooks and crannies of my desk a little more often. On the plus side… I now can keep an iPod just about anywhere I regularly sit and not be without one.
Moving update…
Posted by: | CommentsJust a quick update, since I’ve been pretty bad about posts lately. We’re about a week out from the big move. Family members should expect an email with new address details this weekend.
Hope everyone enjoys their 2nd to last unofficial summer weekend. We’ll be spending it inside packing up our last minute items.
Quick update…
Posted by: | CommentsSorry for the lack of updates lately, but we’ve been focusing on getting things prepped for the big move. With just 10 days until the move, we think we have everything under control. Holly spent the weekend getting the kitchen and assorted areas of the house boxed up. I want to say thanks again to both sets of grandparents for watching Sam and Evan the last couple of weekends, so Holly and I can focus on getting the house packed. It’s been a huge help!
Happy Birthday…
Posted by: | CommentsA quick Happy Birthday to my little sis. Happy Birthday Jennifer.
A REALLY dedicated fan…

I went to training camp over the weekend and found what has to be one of the most dedicated Vikings fans in MN. I’m pretty sure Holly won’t let me "redecorate" her truck to show our team pride.
Making progress…

Well things are starting to look like we’re moving. We’ve got a temporary storage unit to hold stuff from the garage and shed, so that we can reduce the amount of moving. If anyone has seen my garage this summer knows the shelving shown in this picture was full of stuff… the shed was even worse. So after two trips to the dump, a 3rd pile of junk ready to go to the dump, and several trips to the storage unit, we’ve got the first obstacle of our move over with.
A new understanding…
Posted by: | CommentsSince the bike accident earlier this spring, I needed to get new cycling shoes. Yes, they do make shoes just to ride a bike. The shows that got damaged in the accident were top of the line Shimano MTB cycling shoes. Shimano discontinued that line and I needed to go to another brand. Sidi, an Italian cycling shoe company, was the next choice I had, so a couple of weekends ago I finally got my replacement pair of cycling.
All I can say is I finally understand the zealous nature people sometimes have with Italian shoes, even though mine are for cycling. These are THE most comfortable cycling shoes I’ve ever worn. They’re more like gloves for my feet.
Quote of the day…
Posted by: | CommentsI had to go to the dump as we continue the purge of items not worthy for the move to the new house. As I was emptying my truck I overheard a younger couple emptying their trailer of remodeling debris. The husband was chit chatting with his wife when he suddenly shouted, "See what people throw away today, it’s a perfectly good toilet." So I thought it was a funny joke to his wife.
The weird part was when he ACTUALLY went over a pile of junk, pulled the toilet down and started to take a closer look. I’m pretty sure he put it into his trailer once he was done unloading.
Why so serious…

Evan just wouldn’t smile when taking his picture with Pepper.
Sometimes I just like dinner too much…

Evan really enjoys his dinner. Lately he’s gets so excited when he’s
eating something he likes that he grabs the spoon right out of your
hand. As you can see, the result of that action isn’t always in Evan’s
best interest. Guess it’s time for another bath!
