Trouble in the bathroom

In usual Saturday fashion we got our shopping lists out for morning errands and planned to go out to eat. We got there and Sam immediately said he had to go to the bathroom. I took him in and as we finished up Sam noticed the automatic paper towel dispenser. Sam waved his had in front of it once to ‘see if it works’. He got his paper towel portion and was going to rip it off. As he tried to tear it off, his hands got too close to the sensor and the dispenser ran again. Sam didn’t want this to happen so he shook his hands saying ‘no, no, no’. Well that prompted the dispenser to run again which made Sam wave his hands with even more determination to say no.

You can see the vicious cycle that started between man and machine. I finally stepped after the 5th time the dispenser kicked out more paper towels. I’m giggling the entire time and Sam is frustrated he couldn’t make the dispenser stop, so he looks up at me and says ‘Daddy stop laughing, that wasn’t funny’.

Which of course made me laugh even harder.
