Going to Orlando…
Posted by: | CommentsI’m making the final preparations to leave the family for almost a whole week. More importantly, I’m trying to make preparation for Holly to be away from the kids for almost a whole week. Sam and Evan are going to visit my folks from Saturday through Thursday. I’m pretty sure by Tuesday she’ll be either crawling up the walls with nothing to do OR the entire house will be repainted and rearranged because she had ‘a little extra time’.
For young parents…
Posted by: | CommentsOn one of my podcasts I listed to, they were talking to the author of an interesting article in New York Magazine (http://nymag.com/news/features/43893/) on why kids lie. Very interesting read.
What a way to end the week…
Posted by: | CommentsFriday finally arrived and it turned out to be a gorgeous afternoon. Mt Kato opened earlier this week and I finally got a chance to go out mountain biking. To wrap up the day I got home from the ride and played outside with Sam and Evan before they take off to their grandparents tomorrow. To celebrate the end of the work week, I’m sitting outside, enjoying the weather, with a cold adult beverage. Hope everyone has a great Mother’s Day weekend.
You did remember it’s Mother’s Day, right?
No more blogging in bed…
Posted by: | CommentsIn light of the ‘extra’ help I got writing the last post, Holly is hereby banned from watching me type posts to the blog. Thanks for the suggestions in my punctuation, pronouns, adverbs, spelling, grammar, and writing style.
A cool Mommy…
Posted by: | CommentsSam has kinda gotten into Spider-man – ok, really into Spider-man. Evan had to go to the doctor for his 6 month shots and as reward for being so good in the office Sam got, of course, a Spider-man sticker. Holly put the sticker on the seat in front of Sam when they got to the truck. As they were getting out of the truck, Sam said he wanted to give Holly the sticker. Sam said, ‘I want you to be cool, Mommy.’ Holly sat there a little dumbfounded that Sam thought he needed to spice up his mother’s image because she didn’t think this should happen at age 3, more like 13!
Test post…
Posted by: | CommentsThis is a test post from a new software pkg. This will hopefully let me post from one spot to multiple blogs. Ignore it for now.
